As the other Vidar albums are inspired by the pre-Christian European tradition and mythology, so is the theme of "The Mountain King" derived from the South Slavic epic poetry and folklore related to King Marko. As such it is meant to accompany my illustrated book "Songs & Legends of Kraljević Marko" in which i have explained the mythical and symbolic elements of these folk songs. The book is available on Amazon.
